For Shame: Walorski Reverts to What She Does Best & Resorts to Desperate, Baseless Smear CampaignBy Anthony Panzica on Thursday, August 23rd, 2012
Mullen Campaign Releases New Ad that Tells the Truth about Walorski’s Aggressive, Untrue Partisan Attacks
SOUTH BEND, IN — Well that was fast – Jackie Walorski today sunk to a new low with the same negative, mean-spirited and despicable tactics that she’s known best for as a career politician and why Hoosiers rejected her in 2010 with a new, shamefully misleading negative attack ad. In response, Brendan Mullen’s campaign released, “For What’s Right,” a new ad that tells the truth about Brendan Mullen’s background as a small businessman, Iraq veteran, and father and highlights Walorski’s despicable tactics – the same low class, baseless negativity that fueled her losing campaign in 2010.

Mullen’s campaign released the following statement. From Andy Reynolds, Mullen’s campaign manager:
“The truth is that Jackie Walorski is one of the most partisan, bickering and caustic legislators in Indiana’s history. This kind desperate smear, coming so early in the campaign, only means one thing: Jackie Walorski knows she can’t win on her own merits, and needs to resort to misleading smears about Brendan.
For Jackie Walorski to question Brendan Mullen’s Hoosier values and commitment to Indiana is as laughable as her sudden conversion to bipartisanship.
“Brendan is proud to have served his country honorably as an officer in the United States Army, and was stationed in Washington D.C. – along with being stationed at the DMZ in Korea and near Mosul, Iraq in combat as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Brendan is proud of his South Bend roots, being born and raised here. That’s why he and his wife are raising their two daughters here in Indiana, and why Brendan runs a small business here helping Hoosier veterans and their families.
“Hoosiers will reject Walorski just like they did last time because her baseless, partisan smear tactics are exactly what’s wrong with Washington.”
