With Nearly 2,000 Supporters, Mullen’s Campaign to Take Hoosier Values to Washington Reports Nearly Half a Million Cash on Hand

SOUTH BEND — As grassroots momentum for Brendan Mullen’s campaign to fight for Hoosier values and create good jobs continues to soar, Mullen announced today his campaign raised more than $547,000 from nearly 2,000 supporters to date. Mullen reported raising $243,713 for the first quarter of 2012 and has nearly half a million cash on hand.

Mullen cited Hoosier fatigue with politics as usual and enthusiasm for an independent voice with his background as a father, husband, small business owner and combat veteran from South Bend.

“I am excited and inspired to have the support of so many dedicated friends and families who share our Hoosier values of hard work, fairness, and a strong middle class and who want to see those values represented in Washington,” said Brendan Mullen. “We are building a grassroots campaign to take on special interests and overcome partisan finger-pointing to solve the tough problems that face our state, our country and to create good jobs.”

“Hoosiers want someone whose priority is to stand up for our middle class families and protect seniors and Medicare not millionaires and billionaires at the expense of everyone else. As a small businessman, veteran, and father, I am deeply committed to serving our community and creating economic opportunity and a sound fiscal future for Indiana.”
